Capt. Dave Taylor, Mike S and I headed out of Hudson at 7:30 am to find some grouper. Our first stop was in about 20′ of water, there were plenty of fish on the bottom but all we caught were black bass. We moved to around 28′ of water near a line of crab traps and bingo we had some action on grunts and Dave hooked a gag with a lot of back to it. The bite picked up immediately and then a front came through with brisk winds and the bite stopped. We moved away from the front and into about 35′ feet of water where we caught more gags on sardines and fillet of Grunt. We returned to port around 1:30 pm with our cooler full. Great day of fishing.
