Taking advantage of the light winds friend Joe, Terry Freeman and myself decided to head out to 100 feet of water to check out the Red Grouper bite. We encountered heavy fog most of the way out and had to rely on radar most of the way.

Using mainly dead bait we tried numerous spots which showed lots of fish but managed to land only 1 keeper Red Grouper. We did catch a lot of mixed snappers and 2 large Bluefish.

There was very little water movement most of the day and this may have accounted for the slow grouper bite. We quit at 3:30 and enjoyed a super smooth ride home.
