Capt. Bob Bernstein and I headed out in heavy fog at daybreak with thoughts that the fog would lift during the morning. We fished inshore near the Gulf Harbors channel for an hour or so picking up a few undersize silver trout. Mid-morning it looked like the fog was going to lift and visibility was at 50 yards so we moved to Anclote Sandbar where nothing was happening. We did manage to catch a few pin fish on the flats so we headed to marker 4. Once again nothing was happening so we moved on and fished a few spots in the center of the inter-coastal where we hooked up with both spotted and silver trout. A couple of the trout were over the 15″ limit but it was a catch and release day for both of us. We did manage to each catch a shark using cut bait. The sharks were in the 3′ size range. We used different color plastic and jig heads and several crank baits to catch the trout. The fog never lifted but we did have a fun day of fishing anyway.
