Fred M., Butch K and I headed out Friday morning for some inshore fishing. We launched out of Anclote River Park and fished the small islands early. We saw redfish but they wouldn’t bite on artificials or shrimp so we moved on. We fished the flats in front of the power plant and caught some small trout and one keeper. We also caught the usual lizard fish, lady fish and jack cravel. We then fished the channel between Anclote Key and the sandbar and caught a few trout and a small shark. We threw a lot of plastic, green and white seemed to be the ticket. The pin fish loved the shrimp but not a lot of action on them from the trout.
