Mike Kaplan, Ernie Philippi and myself started out at the Anclote Ramp. Mike threw his net and got plenty of white bait. Then we ventured out to 30 feet looking for that big cobia. Unfortunately nothing seemed to be interested in our white bait or artificial bait. We did catch black bass, etc. We then came inshore to the Anclote Island area and found undersize trout, large catfish and ladyfish. We then went near Marker 4 and were visited by Fish and Game to check our safety equipment, license, etc. They looked at Ernie’s (old age license and said they had never seen one that was handwritten). They commented that most of the boats they had checked were only catching lady fish. It was still a fun day on the water.
