Your Fishing Report:

Denis S and I did the installation of a center console grab bar to the boat and finished up around 1pm so we decide to do a little fishing. We tolled up the Anclote from the doc in Tarpon Springs at Belle Harbour Marina and caught two nice size Jack’s on our way out to the flats. We fished the flats in front of the power plant for about 3 hours drifting with a sea anchor to slow us down. We caught a lot of small trout and Denis caught one nice keeper 21″ long. We also caught ladyfish, blow fish and black bass. We were using pink plastic and Gulp new penny soft baits.  All and all a nice day on the water.

Your Fishing Report Kayak fishing out of Brasher Park with club members Phil and Barry. Fishing through low tide in some deeper cuts we were able to catch 10 keeper black drum up to 21″, a mid slot trout, and several small redfish.  Not a super day for fishing, but enough of a bite and conversation to keep it fun and for this time of the year the weather was the star of the day.

Your Fishing Report Went offshore fishing Wed. with Rick U and friend Joe. Seas were calm but lots of fog going and returning, which made for a challenging 50 mile ride to 100 feet of water. Using live grunts,
squid and dead thread fins, we stopped at a number of spots and caught 4 red grouper to 26 inches, 10 mixed snappers, 5 lesser amberjack, and 5 big black seabass. additionally we released a bunch of big red snapper. Overall a good day fishing

Your Fishing Report We meet Mike at his boat in Tarpon at 9:00 a.m.

We first went for reds in a new secret spot Mike had found, but nothing, the water temp back up in this canal was 73 degrees, so after 1 hr. of not even getting a bit, we left and went looking for trout.

We caught at least 40 trout between the 3 of us, and not a keeper., so we drifted out into about 6′ of water and we found the macks. In about 1 1/2 Hrs we caught over 30 of them. Many cut off, so we jumped up to 60 lb leader, and help, but not totally.

Both jean & Mike got 2 nice mackerel. Both were just about 21″.

Got Mike on a video bring his in.

Jean & I want to thank you Mike for a great day of CATCHING .

Team Uffa.

Your Fishing Report Mike D my-self and 1 of my friends back from Pa. went out. We went out of Hudson and only went a few miles off shore. This time I brought some chum and that was the difference. We were drifting and  the Spanish macks just follow the chum line. For many hours we were catching  nice size macks. We lost 5 lures and 1 plug, along with at least 30 jigs. Again we were using 80 lb leader.

Greg got the biggest mack at 25 1/4″ and he had a large cobia on for about 5 seconds, at the boat then it spit the  jig.

Thanks Mike D for another great day of CATCHING in the gulf of Mexico.

Your Fishing Report We left the dock in Cote river at dead low tide. We were lucky to get out. The waters were calm and the fish were hungry. We caught 7 nice Span Mackeral. We lost many more than we caught. Their teeth were so sharp they cut through wire leaders and double heavy mono leaders.
If this report includes a tournament entry please state the species and lenth of the fish caught in this box. Spanish Mackeral 23″

Your Fishing Report Took Jim’s boat offshore today with Barry C and myself.  We launched at Anclote and picked up a few pinfish just east of Anclote key.  Headed west, of course, from Anclote to Jim’s secrete spot and when we got there we found out it was no longer a secret.  The pirates at out spot were nice enough to give us some bait so we allowed them to stay. The weather was great and calm seas but not much of a bite.  Caught lots of grunts and other small fish , red groupers, but no gags.  Jim was able to hook into this  Amberjack which gave him a good fight and was fun to watch.  We headed in about 3pm and had a smooth ride back to the boat launch.  It was a great day with great people, fun.
