Launched boat at Nick’s park at about 9:30AM and headed out to marker 4. Several break offs and some small junk fish. Headed over to Gulf Harbors, anchored up and landed three nice spanish mackerels and several sea bass, small. Lots of puffers and a couple remoras. Headed in and topped day off with wings and beer at Hooters, great day with Marcia.

Left out of Hudson on Mike’s Cape Horn. Seas moderate chop and water cloudy. Lots of junk fish that we ended up using as bait. Caught a large Spanish Mackerel on pinfish. Later talked to Rick Uff and headed to in front of the island near Marker 6. Through silver jig and white grubs. Got a monster Spanish Mackerel on silver jig. Several smaller macks, and trout also caught. Home in 4 hours. Excellent sunny day that ended at Ollie’s Bar. Thanks Mike D!

My 2 neighbor Paul and Doug from G.H. went out early Thursday morning and had a great time catching some nice size macks and huge lady fish. The ladies were all over 23″. We had lots of cut offs till we jumped up to 80 lb leader and then it stopped. We were using 3/8 oz jigs with all different color tails, white seem to be the best.

After 3 hrs of catching them we got tired. We caught them between maker 5 and Anclote island, drifting.

Doug and I want to thank Paul Broome a fun day on the water.

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below My neighbor ( Mike c) and I went  back water fishing early wed morning on a incoming tide.

We were fishing in green key and cross bayou areas. We caught 5 snook  4 of which were 14″ and  one  slotted one. This is the first slotted  snook I ever caught. We also caught many small mangrove snappers, and I got a nice legal red too. We were catching everything on live shrimp.

Thanks Mike for a  nice day on the water, we’ll do it again soon.

More than 40 million fire extinguishers, some on the market for more than four decades, are being recalled because they may not work in an emergency. Please ensure all office, home and project location fire extinguishers are inspected for the models detailed at the web address below.

One death has been linked to problems with the extinguishers made by Kidde, according to the notice Thursday from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall covers 134 models of push-button and plastic-handle extinguishers in the U.S. and Canada made from 1973 through Aug. 15 of this year. It includes models that were previously recalled in March of 2009 and February of 2015, the commission said Thursday.

The models of those extinguishers that have been recalled can be found here:

Went out early in Kayak out of Green mainly to test home made Sabiki rig.  Did some fishing in Oyster creek and hooked into some small reds and an 18 inch flounder.  Made my way back out between Green Key and Gulf harbors and hooked a small bonnet head shark.  I kept the flounder and shark as I haven’t tasted shark yet and was told it is good, we will see.  Made it back to shore about 1:30 and loaded up, wind was a little brisk today but fun day.

I fished the GulfHarbor Yacht Club Veterans Day Tournament with Sean Signor and 2 other vererans.  Fishing was very slow but I managed a nice trout which lead the tournament through most of the day but was beaten at teh last minute. Ww all caught trout that day, but only 1 legal sized redfish was caught by the 50 anglers, and no legal snook were landed.  Slow day but the Veterans had a good time on the water

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below TEAM KAPLAN left the dock at Hudson beach, with Mike Brumley, Rick Uffa, and Joe.

The sea Gods were again very nice to us out and back, we went 30 miles west at a high rate of speed.

Mike moved 8-9 times looking for fish, they were on the screen, but not cooperating at all. We did catch some nice size ars all over 22″ and loaded the fish box with nice size grunts all over 11″. Mike did manage to land one legal gag, and I landed a nice size A.J.

But Mike B caught the biggest fish of the day. You need to watch video, But it’s long so just fast forward it to the last 3 minutes.

We all want to thank Mike for another good day on the water.
