Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below Mike K, Joe, Chet, and I headed out of Nick’s Park at low tide around 6am. We picked up some pinfish from traps Chet put out the night before. He caught a cobia while out placing the traps! We went to a variety of spots around 50-60 miles out looking for Red Grouper. We ended up with 2 nice size ones and 3 additional keeper sized Grouper on live pins, cut bait and squid. I caught several small lane Snapper on request from Rick Uff for his dinner Saturday. My biggest Red Grouper ever I got in with a 4000 sized spinning reel and a 7.5 foot spinning rod. What a fight. Also caught were some nice released Red Snapper and some lesser Amber Jack. Mike’s descending device for pressure affected fish saved the lives of many released fish. All in all a great day of catching many and varied fish during a safe trip out. Thanks to Mike K for another memorable outing.

Fishing shrimp free lined and under a float came across some nice redfish xxxxx” and black drum to 21″ along with a couple of trout. Pictures of Joe’s fish for the day. He topped my xxx” red today with a really nice xxxxx”. Absolutely

Then we noticed about 15 boats   down by the sunken sail boat so we ck it out, glad we did. We caught at least 40 nice size sugar/white trout, ranging from 10-17″

They were hitting a small jig on the bottom.

thanks for a good day on the water  Jim

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below Met Dave Taylor and his crew of Robert Grover and Butch Kaelin at Port Hudson Marina at about 7:30, loaded the boat and took off at about 8:00.  Dave found his first spot in 42′ which resulted in grunts and sea bass.  WE moved west and found more of the same at every spot we tried.  At about 65′, I even found an elusive American Red Snapper.  Finally one or two spots before we called it a day, I picked my Nekid Ball Jig, which I had fished all day, and connected with a fish that actually pulled some drag.  A short time later, the gaff was firmly planted into an 18 1/2 pound kingfish, the fish of the day.  I must state, I fished the Nekid Ball Jig all day long and even though we did not put many fish in the box, this lure, tipped with dead shrimp caught Grunts, Seabass, Porgy’s Squirrel Fish, Lizard Fish, American Red Snapper and the kingfish all day long.   Dave had is own, and I offered Robert and Butch ine of the several I carried with me, but they declined, stating they would come to the store and get their own :~)

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below Hooked up with a neighbor in G.H. and we headed out and the soon as we got into 7-8′ of water the mackerel bite was on, caught about 25 of them, then proceeded to the sand bar, and we got into lots of trout, we landed 2 keepers around 20″.

Something hit a small lady fish while we were bring it in, but the guy we were fishing with has a 2500 reel, and within 10 seconds took all his line off his reel.

it was nice and calm out there today, and we were using all color jigs, the white was the best color.

another great day of catching in the gulf of Mexico.

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below Headed out of Mike’s dock in Hudson and went to a place he had caught cobia and mackerel before. We were in 10 ft of water between Hudson and Port Richey using a weighted jig head and 3 inch grubs in various colors (chartreuse was king) and a silver spoon. We just made a few long drifts of a mile or so. Calm day. The bite was on from early and continued throughout the day in spurts and stops. Mike D. caught a ton of mackerel and maybe a cobia (until it broke – not bit off the line) and a 20 ” Gag Grouper. I caught some nice mackerel and kept about 10 of the 30 or so we caught to get smoked. I plan to bring some to a party and some to the meeting with crackers if I can get the Owner of Smokin Out BBQ to agree to smoke them for me. All in all a good day with Mike D and his wife Barbara. Thanks Mike.
If this report includes a tournament entry please state the species and lenth of the fish caught in this box. 18 in Spanish Mackerel

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below Team Uffa hooked up with Jerry Hanes for the first time. He decided to take us up the Anclote River, so we headed way  up the river ( about 8 miles).

We were out of that nasty winds. It was soo beautiful up there, it was like being in old Florida. We even saw a alligator sunning him-self.

We didn’t catch much, but sun rays. Jean and Jerry both caught  small snappers , and Jerry  caught a BOW FIN fish, and I got a 24″ Gar.

Thanks for a nice trip up the river Jerry.
