Florida Key’s Fishing (Oct. 26 –Nov. 2)

Lobster 100_6105 100_6101 100_6098Chet, Carole, Bob, Lori and Jack rented a house on Cudjoe Key (23 miles form Key West) for a week. We hulled Jack’s boat down with us.

We were only able to fish 3 day because of wind.  We were targeting Sail Fish each day by trolling live Ballyhoo between 150 to 200 feet of water. We knew it would be tough as the water temp temperature was still too warm for them to be that far south. We did land an big cobia while trolling. After hours of trolling we did take a little time each day to catch Mangrove snapper and Yellow Tail. We also managed to catch a second Cobia on the Budweiser wreck. The bait we used was fresh caught Ballyhoo. We also spent time snorkeling which netted 3 lobster. Each night we went into Key West to people watch at Fantasy Fest. It was a great time being with friends all week. Here are just a few pictures
