State the length and species in the box below | Wild day – negative tide had to wait until mid-morning to launch from the marina…. then had to contend with fog which is still rolling out there. Felt good to get out and on the water with my trusty 1st Mate Mary. Started out north side of Anclote River and kept working way North. Live shrimp, Gulp and Fish-Bites loaded up on freelines, hanging below a cork and on jigs. All the above worked with some success, water temps ran 64-65 degrees with a moderate current. For the day, about 25 Mackerel with biggest 24″, a dozen Trout tops being 16″, a nice Blue Fish. We lost probably as many Macks and Trout at boat side that came un-buttoned. Best spot for the day was Green 5 – we lost some bruisers there amongst the carb traps Fun ride back in with calm seas and still plenty of fog – the Garmin came in handy |
