Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below | Invited by Capt. Mike Spanhel to go back into Filman Creek to hunt down some Snook and Redfish. It was kind a weird tide day, but we headed out early morning non the less. Water was pouring out big time when we anchored up to the first point – Mike hooked up immediately with a nice Snook – I followed shortly with a 30” Bonnet Shark. 45 minutes into our trip, we quickly realized the water was pouring out and we had a clearance issue with Filman Creek bottom and Mike’s skiff, the trolling motor went kaput, so we pushed and pulled our way out. So, we headed out into Sand Bay and drifted live shrimp, Trout action was steady along with pins and the rest of the usual critters. Mike did bag a nice fat Trout on a shrimp, and we lost a couple nice hook ups but just couldn’t seal the deal. Last stop was the north side of the North entrance, by then water had pretty much stopped running and winds picked up. Headed back into the dock… ‘a good time was had by all’ Thanks Captain Mike |
If this report includes a tournament entry please state the species and length of the fish caught in this box. | Mike Spanhel Trout 19-3/4” |

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below | Wind was to strong to get offshore to the Tarpon reef so we had to stay inside and hide behind the island. Sharon caught this trout on the west side of Anclote Key in 14 feet of water. She was bottom fishing using cut squid when this fish surprised her. We caught a number of catfish (ugh) and small sand perch. I also caught a small (24) shark. Shark had a ghost stainless steel hook in him in addition to mine. I did not think these were legal. Both hooks were removed and shark was released along with the trout. |

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below | We left around 11 am down the canal headed to the flats. Stopped along the way in outgoing tide and caught a red and ladyfish on live shrimp. We headed to the flats and doubled up on a few small trout. It was slow but we caught 14 trout total for the day. Not bad considering the cold front had just moved through. |

Important Information Regarding Fishing Reports…. Please Read
Fishing reports filed between 5.4.21 and 5.12.21 will not be posted on the website until at least 5.13.21. Continue to file your fishing reports as you normally would. Mike Spanhel the tournament director will record your tournament fish. Remember all fishing reports must be filed within 48 hours of the fish being caught. Your reports however will not be posted on the website until after May 13, 2020. I am going on vacation in the mountains and I don’t believe I will have access to the internet. Since no one seems interested in learning and helping with the website and fishing reports I guess the fishing reports won’t be posted until I return.
