Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below About 2 weeks ago I went out on the Miss Virginia and caught 7 hogfish with 3 being keepers. Also caught many grunts and 2 just short red groupers. Was a good day so I decided to go out again to see if I could duplicate the past. No such luck. No hogfish and few grunts. But at the last minute I decided to bring along a grouper rod. That did not amount to much until 30 minutes before coming in when I landed a 27″ gag. I completely forgot about a picture to this report but not all is lost, I did win the grouper pool and brought home $150 for the effort!

Craig started the day off right with a 25 inch red in about a foot of water near some rocks. He followed it up with another 19 1/2 red two hours later at another spot. He also caught several catfish while I only landed one red, one trout, and a half dozen lizard fish. Kept moving all day as the tide came in. Water temp topped out at 90.9 degrees. Sun came out at noon and so did the heat. Another adventure with good results.

State the length and species in the box below We left our canal at gulf harbors at 6 am we had a deadline fish till noon and head in it was calm with small rollers. Chris was able to cruise at 43 mph with his yellowfin so we got to the spot in no time the bite was on immediately but the threadfin was attracting all small grouper-and squid was attracting the lanes so we switched up our bait to larger size grunt filets ladyfish chunks squirrel fish that produced some real nice red grouper and all but eliminated the small fish  of the eight keepers 2 were 22 and 6 were from 25 to 32.5 we also caught a undersized triple tail and had a cobia flirting with a free liner but wouldn’t eat it. It was exciting 6 hr fishing trip we picked up a Bonita on the way in.

State the length and species in the box below Left Nick’s Park Sat at 6 with crew of Mark C, Terry F, and friend Kevin, to fish for Red Grouper. Due to malfunction with Rhodan GPS Anchor we spent the day drift fishing. The ride out 50 miles was very bumpy fighting a Northwest wind.
We used Threadfin Herring along with squid. Red Grouper were quite plentiful, however most were under 20 inches. By 230 we had caught our limit, with several large fish up to 29 inches. A school of small Mahi Mahi, at one point came around the boat. After chumming with cut bait, Mark managed to catch two small Mahi. There is no size limit in the Gulf.
We headed home at 230, and enjoyed a smooth ride home. Another great day fishing in the Gulf.

Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below Mary and I headed out late morning for a couple hours to blow the dust of the BeachCat.
Winds were light and tide was switching to outgoing.

Headed out to Pasco 4 Red, water was cleaner but 87-88 degress and floating grass was thick.

Bite was slow even with shrimp – one keeper Tout for the day.

Water over by the Tiki Hut looked inviting – finished off the day floatin’ and sippin’

Felt good to get out there – ‘a good time was had by all’
