Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report fill out the box below also. Inshore Fishing has been really rough as many of you know. Friday went out at about 1 and due to 18-25 mph winds felt like kite boating so I moved into the canal. Nothing happening. Towards the evening fish showed up. I caught some mangrove snappers, large jacks &  20” snook. Saturday fished in the morning in the rain and caught a 29” redfish and some jacks. Made my weekend! Used dead shrimp on Saturday and live shrimp on Friday. Looking forward to summer.

Dave, Chet and I joined Mike for a day chasing Sheepshead.  The skies where clear and the water smooth when we headed out and it stayed that way all day as we fished around the Pasco reefs.  We had a steady but not furious day of catching with Mike and Dave catching the largest of the Sheephead.  All together we boated 13 sheepshead, a few grunt and one mangrove snapper.  It was a great day of fishing with friends.

The weather and wind finally cooperated today, so Bob Sherley and I headed out for a day of inshore fishing.  Considering how slow it has been for the last month or so we didn’t expect much but a boat ride and a great day on the water.  For the first hour or so we seached the waters around the mouth of the Anclote with no real luck, just a few lizard fish.  We finally made our way to Marker 5 and did a slow drift where we started picking up Sand Seatrout and Southern Kingfish.  The bite was on for about 4 hours and then it just stopped as quickly as it had started.  There were no monsters but both species, pound for pound, put on a good fight.  Soft plastic, new penny color, on a jig head was the bait of choice.
