Capt. Dencil Powell, “The Rajun Cajun” has been so much more than a friend to the FishOn Fishing Club over the years.  His endless support of the club’s Wish To Fish program has provided children of all ages in our community the opportunity to spend a day on the water learning more about fishing, conservation, fellowship, and the environment.

As many of you know Dencil has been fighting cancer for over a year now and has fallen on hard times.  The cost of battling cancer is high both on a physical level and a financial level.  Capt. Gary Strickland, a close friend, of Capt. Dencil started the GoFundMe page below to help Capt. Dencil financially.  To make a donation click the photo below and you will be taken to the actual GoFundMe page where you can make a donation.  Additionally, Capt Gary told me he is working with several other Captains in the area to put together an auction or raffle of charter fishing trips that will be conducted by the captains with all proceeds to be given to this fund for Capt.
