State the length and species in the box below Captain Bob Sauban invited yours truly for a trip to see if Macks are still hanging around after the recent cold front. YUP!!!!! Headed out North of Anclote Key, a little cool and seas were choppy. Non the less, we set out chum blocks, occasionally tossed some frozen shrimp out as teasers…. started out with poppin’ corks and shrimp on 3′ leaders with wire trace to avoid bite-offs… Action was a little slower, but the Mack’s still came through in packs. All in, we caught +30 Macks the majority being in 24″-27″ range. Burned through about 8 dozen shrimp, so a good deal out there is at Bait Depot for shrimo. Bob tangled with a big-ass shark that took him around the ‘toon at least once before breaking off when it got wrapped around a crab trap float… Awesome day out there, a good time was had by all… Thank you, Captain Bob for the Mack Attacks,!
