Your Fishing Report: If this is a tournament report do not state the fish’s length in this box. State the length and species in the box below John and I decided that even though the weather report said it was going to be windy we would give fishing in the Anclote a shot.  We headed out around 11 AM and while the river seemed windy the IC was relatively calm so we headed over to the 11 ft water halfway down Anclote Key to look for Sand Trout.  We found them and caught quite a few (11″ to 16″) but after an hour or so we decided to look for some Spotted Trout on the east side of the IC.  We fished several areas and boat a couple 14 Spotted Trout but it was slow going and we fished hard for the ones we got.  We were using live shrimp and artificals all day with mixed results.  John threw top water lures for a while but had no action on them.  It was a fun day on the water with moderate success.
