Captain Joe Stand invited Freddie Penrow, Bonnie Allen and Terry Reelitz out to see if yesterday could be duplicated.Started out early and stopped for bait again… Squirrels were a little tougher to come by this time, Grunts were plentiful.Headed out past +100’ again, plan was to knock off some ARS and then go to work on RG’s. to our surprise they were mixed in together for the early morning bite. Big baits were the ticket again for the bigger fish. Grunt filets were doing very well.Late morning, we were well on the way with limits of both and moved on to different area.Interestingly, the bite changed in the afternoon and slowed down a tad, Freddie made the call and switched to Threads – we finished our limits pretty quickly with some bigger RG’s – good call Freddie!Hot Rods were shared by Bonnie bagging the biggest ARS at hefty 25” & Freddie hookin’ the biggest RG measuring 27” and ‘Sweet Cheeks’ Award.Freddie was full of surprises as he did come up with a rather unique trolling system that he tried out – he got pretty good fuel economy; it just took a little longer. The jury is still out if he will expand on this system – stay tuned for further developments. It was a quiet and pleasant ride back in…. ‘A great time was had by all’
